Mayor Newsom’s spokesman Peter Ragone on Tuesday’s meeting on Props J and K:



“If both fail, that’s $97 million over 9 months. That would mandate cuts in services. We can’t spend money we don’t have. The mayor plans on being honest with the people of San Francisco about the choices that have to be made. The mayor intends to meet with people throughout the city on both sides of the issue to make it clear to them what’s at stake here. Most importantly, the mayor feels he needs to be up front with people.” … Ragone said the $2 million exemption is still being reviewed and discussed with different groups around The City.
